A 90-day NetSuite implementation for manufacturers, built around the three things that determine whether a manufacturing ERP is usable on day one: assemblies, work orders, and planning.
The Manufacturing Starter Kit is a fixed-scope implementation. We configure a working NetSuite manufacturing environment on a defined timeline, using patterns we have already built and proven, rather than designing your system from a blank slate and billing you for the discovery.
What’s included
Assembly automation
Assembly items and bills of material configured and automated, so building a product does not require a person to assemble the paperwork for it. This is the difference between NetSuite recording what you manufactured and NetSuite helping you manufacture it.
Work order automation
Work order creation, release, and completion set up to run with minimal manual intervention, including the transitions that normally get handled by someone remembering to do them.
Supply and demand planning setup
Planning configured so the system tells you what to buy and what to build, based on real demand signals rather than static reorder points someone set once and never revisited.
The underlying implementation
Core NetSuite configuration, chart of accounts, item and inventory setup, data migration of your master records, and training for the people who will use it daily.
What’s not included
Custom automations for business processes that are specific to your company rather than standard to your industry. The Starter Kit covers the manufacturing patterns that hold true across manufacturers — it does not cover the parts of your operation that are unique to you.
That work is real, and we do it — it is simply scoped and quoted separately, after the foundation is in place. We would rather tell you that now than discover it in week ten.
The 90 days
The Starter Kit delivers a working baseline NetSuite implementation in 90 days. A typical engagement runs in four phases:
- Discovery and design. We map how you actually manufacture, then decide how NetSuite should reflect it. Decisions made here are the ones that are expensive to change later, so this is where we spend the care.
- Configuration. Core setup, chart of accounts, items, assemblies, work orders, and planning configured against the agreed design.
- Data migration and testing. Your master data loaded and validated, then tested against real scenarios from your business rather than generic ones.
- Training and go-live. Your team trained on the system they will actually be using, followed by supported go-live.
What we need from you
A 90-day timeline only holds if the client side moves too. Realistically that means a decision-maker who can answer configuration questions without convening a committee, someone who knows how your data is currently structured, and availability from the people who will use the system during testing and training.
The most common cause of a slipped implementation is not technical. It is waiting on answers.
Common questions
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on the size of your operation and the state of your data. We will give you a fixed figure after a scoping conversation, in writing, before you commit to anything.
What if we need more than the Starter Kit?
Most manufacturers do, eventually. The Starter Kit is designed as a correct foundation to build on, not a ceiling. Additional automation and customization is scoped separately once you are live and know what you actually need.
We’re already on NetSuite and it isn’t working. Is this for us?
Probably not — that is a different engagement. See ERP Rescue & Optimization, which is built for correcting an existing implementation rather than standing up a new one.
Do you do the data migration, or do we?
We do. You will need to help us understand what your current data means, but loading it correctly is our job — and getting it wrong is one of the most common causes of an implementation that never recovers.
